Hightimes Features Esensia!

I’m super excited that my friends, and client, are featured in the High Times Harvest issue. October 2023 #573

Esensia Gardens

I did not shoot the cover - only the Esensia feature

These dudes are crushing, and have been crushing it for a long time. And it’s been incredible being a small part of their journey.

We’ve done quite a bit of work together since 2020. It’s been so rewarding seeing it all being used in many different applications.

Ben and Marley, co-founders of Esensia, have utilized my photography on their website, social media platforms, event materials, and publications.

I didn’t shoot any studio photography at their garden this year, but I did swing by a few times at different stages of garden.

Their new property is in Sonoma on one acre —which is about four times the size of their last place up on the ridge overlooking Hopland.

Their previous Hopland property

The Hopland property had big plants that towered over head. You’d need to duck and dodge the large colas that hung out of the cages supporting these monsters.

Certain areas of the garden felt like you were exploring into a dense tropical jungle of sorts. At the right time of the day the sun rays would pierce through the canopy giving the most dramatic lighting.

Their new property is set up similarly to a vineyard. Long rolling beds with the tissue culture started plants directly into the ground.

This is a different gardening style than their previous property that housed 3 plants per large smart pot above the ground.

Their new Sonoma property

This year they had a lot more room to play with some new genetics and a small pheno hunt.

It was cool to see how their in house genetics grew in a different climate, in the ground, and as smaller plants.

The flowers looked incredible!

Super frosty, prime health, gorgeous colorful fades, perfect tops all around. I was really impressed.

Another massive upgrade for Esensia is the drying facility on this property.

They spoke highly about it to me, but it wasn’t until I stepped foot into the building when I really understood why they were so excited!

They went from temporary drying structures up on the ridge to this state of the art facility.

The wild thing about it is, their cure was top notch in the temporary structures already!

I can not wait to try this year’s harvest.

That’s a lot of fire

It takes a lot to impress me these days in the cannabis space. And I say that from an extremely privileged and blessed place —I’m a pot snob, I’ve seen a lot.

And I've seen a lot of really great and even more bad situations.

I fucking looovveee it!

I’ve been impressed at every stage of your journey.

Marley & Ben, you guys kill it.
